Tina Sleiman

Tina Sleiman is a certified green designer and Associate Professor of graphic design at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi. Holding a BFA in Graphic Design from the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts and an MS in Design from Arizona State University, she recently achieved recognition as a Senior Fellow from the Higher Education Academy in the UK.

As an educator since 2007, Tina has spoken at international conferences on sustainability, design responsibility, and visual culture. Her articles have been published in renowned journals, including Wiley's International Journal of Art and Design Education and John Hopkins University Press' Bookbird Journal of International Children's Literature. With a diverse career, she has taught fifteen design courses, co-curated a typographic show, and held positions at Arizona State University and design studios like AGA-ADK and DW Green.

In the last five years, Tina has actively researched responsible production and consumption, integrating sustainable design into her classes. She presented research at the UAE Public Policy Forum and Dubai Design Week, in addition to delivering community talks and workshops. Passionate about environmental conservation, she promotes a zero-waste lifestyle and serves on the scientific committee for the 12th World Environmental Education Congress.
