Tala Atrouni

Tala Atrouni, born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1977, developed a passion for art from an early age. Growing up in Beirut's cosmopolitan environment, she was further inspired by her father's calligraphy, poetry and drawing. Despite limited formal art exposure in high school, she pursued fine arts education at the Lebanese American University, earning a Bachelor's degree in painting and sculpture.

In 1999, Tala moved to San Francisco and worked in the tech industry before returning to her artistic roots. She earned an MFA in Illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2005.

Tala has exhibited her work internationally, including in the UAE, San Francisco, Florence, and Lebanon. Her art transcends cultural boundaries, resonating with audiences worldwide. Currently based in Abu Dhabi, she works as an Assistant Professor at Zayed University while continuing her artistic practice. Her diverse experiences and education have shaped her unique and profound artistic perspective.
